Winter’s not over yet!

Scenes from the annual ice harvest in February at the Thompson Pond, South Bristol. This year the ice was 22″ thick! It will last all summer packed away in the ice house. The Thompson Ice House which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is dedicated to the remembrance of the ice industry in Maine. It is open July & August 3 days a week or by appointment.
